SUBJECT: Activities of the Police Department for January 1974
The Police Department handled 52 complaints and investigated 6 motor
vehicle accidents. There were 47 traffic tickets and 38 parking tickets
issued during the month.
There were two felonies reported during the month, both for the crime of
burglary. There were 18 misdemeanors reported.
On January 24, 1974, part -time Patrolman David J. Wall began work full -
time in accordance with resolution #2203 of the Village Board on January
• 21, 1974.
After discussion with the Public Safety Committee and the Village Treasurer,
it is recommended that the purchase of an electronic siren for patrol car
#125 be made at this time rather than during the next fiscal year as planned.
Therefore, the following resolution is submitted for approval by the
Village Board:
VOTED to authorize the Police Department to purchase one Federal Model
PA15A Electronic Siren from Precision Tool and Gun, Ithaca, N.Y. in the
amount of $160.00
The part -time officers worked a total of 98 hours during the month and the
full -time officers worked 6 hours overtime.
