CAYUGA HEIGHTS FIRE DEPARTMENT
Report for September, 1973
The Department responded to 13 incidents during the month of
September. Fire loss for the district was less than $1000.00.
During routine maintenance of the vehicles, several small leaks
were discovered in the 500 gallon water tank on Engine I (1968
Pumper). It has not yet been determined whether repairs are
possible or if the tank will have to be replaced. Repairs will
be relatively inexpensive, but replacement of the complete tank
0 would be in the area of $3000.00. I felt this item should be
included in this report to alert the Trustees of the possibility
of the Fire Department requesting additional funds for emergency
repairs.
Mrs. Day and Mr. Dymek have assumed the responsibilities for
their new part time positions. A report from the Fire Prevent-
ion Engineer will be part of October's report.
Respectfully submitted,
Ned G. Boice, Fire Chief
