SUBJECT: Activities of the Police Department for May 1973
The Police Department handled 47 complaints and investigated 8 motor
vehicle accidents. There were 39 traffic tickets and 31 parking
tickets issued during the month.
There was one felony investigation concerning a burglary. There were
fourteen misdemeanor complaints, six for petit larceny, four for
criminal mischief two for criminal trespass, one for aggravated
harassment and one for unlawfully using slugs.
• On May 3, 1973, Chief Mca;en and Sgt. Darling attended a seminar on
Emergency Medical Services conducted by the New York State Traffic
Safety Council at Binghamton, N.Y. On May 4, 1973, Chief Mc Ewen
and Sgt. Darling attended a seminar at Binghamton, N.Y. on extremist
groups conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Patrolman Cooper is progressing very nicely on the dark room in the
basement. He has the walls, ceiling and floor completed. He will
soon begin work on the counter.
The part -time officers worked 113 hours and the full -time officers
worked 15 hours overtime during May.
