REPORT FOR MARCH 1973
The department responded to 7 alarms of fire during the month. All
of the fires were of a minor and routine nature except for the mutual aid
call to Freeville during which a small barn and contents were totally
destroyed. Fire loss in our fire district was limited to an estimated
$525.
There were 3 fire inspections made during the month. These included
a check of an improved fire alarm and detection system at 306 Highland Road
and a check of the remodeling of stores at the Village Green.
Fire department elections have been held and the clerk has the list
of officers for the year 1973 -74 to be approved by the Trustees.
• The Fire Council wishes to remind the Trustees that the Fire Prevention
Code, although approved in concept, has still not been formally adopted as
Village Law.
