CAYUGA HEIGHTSS FIRE DEPARTMENT
REPORT FOP. FEBRUARY 1973
The department responded to 4 alarms of fire and 3 incidents during
the month. All fires and incidents were of a minor nature and fire
loss for the month was less than $100.
There were 9 fire inspections made during the month. Most of these
were follow -up inspections at Corners Community Center locations to
inspect corrections of fire hazards made by the tenants.
The Fire Council was pleased to learn that the Board found it possible
to award the bids on the ladder truck for delivery as soon as possible.
This has done a great deal to lift the spirits of the newly formed
ladder squad and they are meeting for training and instruction on a
weekly basis. I feel assured that we will have a fully trained group,
of about a dozen men, when the truck does arrive.
Some of the Trustees were concerned with the warranty provisions in
the contract with the Pierce Co. I have since received a letter
which states that when possible, repairs made under warranty will be
• done at our fire station.
