Meacham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Subject: Activities of the Police Department for October 1972 The Police Department handled 51 complaints and investigated 7 motor vehicle accidents. There were 73 traffic tickets and 42 parking tickets issued during the month. One felony was reported during October which was a house burglary. There were twenty -two misdemeanor complaints as follows: Petit Larceny 4, Criminal Mischief 7, Bad Check 3, Criminal Trespass 3, Aggravated Harassment 4, and Public Lewdness 1. There was one person arrested for Issuing a Bad Check. is An auction was held on October 21, 1972 at which time accumulated abandoned property was disposed of and the Village received $220.00. Patrolman Lawrence H. Rabin completed his 8 weeks of basic recruit training at the Tompkins County Law Enforcement School on November 6, 1972. Patrolman Rabin had the top mark on the final written examination and was a credit to himself and the Village in this school. I would like to recommend that he be given a permanent Patrolman position effective November 6, 1972 at his present salary.
