Subject: Activities of the Police Department for June 1972
The Police Department handled 77 complaints and investigated 7 motor
vehicle accidents. There were 39 traffic tickets and 7 parking
tickets issued during the month.
There were 6 felonies investigated of which there were 3 burglaries,
2 grand larcenies and 1 reckless endangerment. There were 35 mis-
demeanors investigated which included 8 petit larceny cases, 11
e criminal mischief cases and 4 bad check cases. The amount of property
reported stolen was $4182.28 and the amount of property recovered
was $524.9o.
The 19711 police vehicles were sold on June 30, 1972 to the highest
bidders for $1756.00 and $1754.00.
Sergeant Darling completed the required course in "Police Supervision"
conducted at the Broome County Law Enforcement Academy from June 5
thru June 16, 1972.
The part -time officers worked 154 hours and the full -time officers
worked 18 hours overtime during June.
