Minutes 4/19/1972VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS MINUTES of a SPECIAL MEETING of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga • Heights held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 1972 in the Village Hall. PRESENT: Mayor F. G. Miarcham; Trustees David J. Allea, Harold R. Fisher, Verne A. Fogg, Carl H. Nelson, Claire C. Nulle, Rane F. Randolph; Engineer John B. Rogers. RESOLUTION # 1947 - RESIGNATION POLICE CHIEF VOTED to accept the resignation of Police Chief Jack W. McGraw, Sr. as of 11:59 P.M. April 23, 1972 and to offer a lump sum payment to him at his normal rate of pay to cover compensatory time and vacation time due to May 31, 1972. RESOLUTION # 1948 - LETTER OF THANKS VOTED to instruct the Mayor to express in writing to Chief McGraw the thanks of the Village for his long and devoted service. RESOLUTION # 1949 - APPOINTMENT OF POLICE CHIEF VOTED to authorize the Mayor, if the action is required by law, to appoint an Acting Police Chief from among the officers qualified by examination. This O appointment if made as of April 24, 1972 will go to Police Sergeant McEWen but without prejudice to further consideration of a probationary Police Chief appointment at the meeting of the Board on May 15, 1972. In the event the immediate appointment of an Acting Police Chief is not necessary Sergeant MkEwen will be in charge of the Police Department pending further action. To be confirmed at the next regular meeting, the following resolution was offered. RESOLUTION # 1950 - APPOINTMENT - ROBERT D. DAY VOTED to appoint Robert D. Day as a provisional Patrolman at such time as he may be free to accept the appointment but not later than July 15, 1972. The matter of salary will be taken up at the appropriate time. RESOLUTION # 1951 - APPLICATION FOR WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM The Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights hereby ratifies and confirms the action of the Mayor of the Village of Cayuga Heights in executing and causing to be filed the application to the Department of Environmental Conservation verified the 12th day of April, 1972, and which has been filed with the Department of Environmental Conservation, said application being for approval • of a common water supply for the Towns of Dryden, Ithaca and Lansing, and the Village of Cayuga Heights. Minutes 4/19/72 Page 2 The said Mayor is authorized to execute any supplementary petitions or other documents which may be required in order to process the said application for approval of a common water supply for said municipalities. It is understood that said application is being made jointly by the Townsof Dryden, Lansing and Ithaca, and the Village of Cayuga Heights. VOTED to approve the Abstract of Audited Vouchers dated April 19, 1972 in the following amounts: General Fund - $3,145.15; Sewer Fund - $995.84; Capital Fund - $11,597.78. RESOLUTION # 1952 - ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE VOTED that Overdue Accounts Receivables be added to the Tax Roll for 1972 -73 in the amount of $40.00, being unpaid Mowing Charges against Educational Structures, 316 Highland Road. fleeting adjourned at 5:40 Poll. • • F.
