Subject: Activities of the Police Department for September 1971
Gentlemen:
The Department handled 44 complaints and investigated 6 motor vehicle
accidents. There were 89 traffic tickets and 28 parking tickets issued
during the month.
Some of the cases investigated during the month concerned 5 felony
•
cases (burglary and
grand larceny), 17
misdemeanor cases (petit larceny,
bad check, criminal
mischief, criminal
trespass, aggravated harassment,
bomb threat and possession of fireworks) and 3 violations (disorderly
conduct and harassment).
The part -time officers worked a total of 85 hours and the regular
officers overtime for the month totaled 29 hours.
Approval is requested for the payment of $44 to Patrolmen Darling
for tuition fees at Auburn Community College.
