Subject: Activities of the Police Department for April 1971
Gentlemen:
The Department handled 56 complaints and there were no reported motor
vehicle accidents for the month. There were 126 traffic tickets and 9 parking
tickets issued during the month.
Some of the cases investigated during the month concerned 7 felony cases
(burglary, forgery, attempt to commit burglary), 16 misdemeanor cases (bad
check, petit larceny, criminal mischief, sexual misconduct, wayward minor, theft
of mail, possession of stolen property) and 2 Village Ordinances (firearms).
The part -time officers worked a total of 230 hours and the regu3ar officers
overtime for the month totaled 70 hours.
