Subject: Activities of the Police Department for March 1971
Gentlemen:
The Department handled 31 complaints and investigated 2 motor vehicle
accidents. There were 87 traffic tickets and 24 parking tickets issued during
the month.
Some of the cases investigated during the month concerned 1 felony case
10 (grand larceny- auto), 4 misdemeanor cases (bad checks, criminal impersonation,
criminal trespass and aggravated harassment), 3 violations (harassment, public
intoxication) and 2 Village Ordinances (solicitors).
The part -time officers worked a total of 244 hours and the regular officers
overtime for the month totaled 25 hours.
Approval is requested for the following: $41 - tuition- Auburn Community
College for Patrolman Darling, new equipment purchases as approved in 1971 -72
budget - $315 - used electric typewriter from Cornell, $98.85 - three lockers,
$378.55 - office files, and $47.90 - table, all from Race Office Equipment.
