During the past year, February 1, 1970 through January 31, 1971
twenty one zoning permits were issued for an estimated $242,000 of
construction in the Village. There were only two new residential
buildings constructed so the vast majority of construction was for
additions and renovations of existing structures. The number of
new buildings, the number of permits and the total dollar amount of
estimated construction cost are all less than comparable figures
for the preceding year which was the lowest in the Village for over
a ten year period.
