Please drop in the office anytime and abserve the new lights and the new desk. Overtime in August was for street paving while the paving machine was operating and a sewer stoppage. It was paid as follows: Ankrum 4 hours $12.88 Gardner 4 " 17.16 Geiger 4 It 20.04 Hayes 4 it 19.00 Howe 4 " 13.80 Marshall 1 ' 3.96 Oltz 3 " 14.13 Quick 1 " 3.22 Truax, B. 3 " 15.12 Truax, R. 1 " 3.75 Garvin 01 " 11.18 Bills were sent to the respective Townships on September first according to our Sewer District Contracts for unpaid sewer :ent charges as follows: Town of Ithaca - $3,555.63 and Town of Lansing $8,216.10. The amount of Village taxes unpaid is $4,720.37 • The diseased elm tree program is progressing with a second letter being sent out this month as a reminder to those not heard from. The last New York State Audit was for the peroid ending 5/31/67 so I expect the State Auditors anytime. I received the Notice of Tentative State Equalization Rate which is set at 79% I feel some thought should be given to making a section of the basement of this building into a fire proof place to store'records ivhich'could never be replaced. I had a telephone call from Albany with the instruction that all of our part time and extra Police Patrolmen must belong to the New York State Policemen and Firemen Retirement System no matter how little they earn each month. •
