Gardner - 6 hours - $25.74 Garvin - 4 hours - 17.88 Geiger - 4 hours - 20.04 Grover - 8 hours - 39.68 On October 27, 1970 I gave the following message to the Mayor, Engineer and Treasurer. The Treasurer's comment was, "I think we need to get a cost estimate on what changes would cost us. This is the time to do it when there is still a little money left in the Village Hall fund ". Here is message: "I wish to explain the problems we have in this building with the heating system. Since the thermostat is in the hall it is either too hot or too cold in other parts of the building. For instance when we come in in the morning the offices upstairs are apt to be below 70 degrees whereas the hall downstairs is over 72 degrees at which temperature we usually have the thermostat set. The Police offices are usually much too warm in order for the upstairs to be just right. The radiators in the police offices even though they are shut off still give off the same amount of heat as if they were completely turned on. This leads one to believe the valves in the radiators are not working properly. I have known the police office to run the air conditioner with the heat on. During the day when the front door is being opened and closed all the time the cooler air in the hall sends the temperature down which in turn makes the thermostat call for more heat which in turn results in the rest of the building getting more heat whether we need it or not. If it is possible, I would very much like to see the system broken into two circulating systems, one for the upstairs with our own thermostat and one for the police department with their own thermostat, and no thermostat in the main hallway."
