Marchem, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Subject: Activities of the Police Department for May 1970 Gentlemen: The Department handled 67 complaints and investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents. There were 53 traffic tickets and 54 parking tickets issued for the month. Some of the cases investigated during the month concerned 6 felony cases (2 burglary, 2 forgery, 2 narcotic) and 21 misdemeanor cases (petit larceny, bad check, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, aggravated harassment, unlawfully dealing with a child) and 5 violations (disorderly conduct and harassment). • The part -time officers worked a total of 113 hours and the regular officers overtime for the month totaled 27 hours. Compensatory time carried over into the new budget year totaled 247 hours. The Department request the approval of the following: 1. Chief - Attendance at New York State Chiefs of Police Conference, Albany, N.Y. July 26 -30. Expenses not to exceed $150 - covers - registration fee, room and board, mileage, mist. costs. 2. Sgt. - Attendance at Moran Institute on Delinquency & Crime, St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y. June 21 -26. $95 plus mileage. 3. An air conditioner for the main office.
