Subject: Activities of the Police Department for July 1970
Gentlemen:
The Department handled 74 complaints and investigated 2 motor vehicle
accidents. There were 52 traffic tickets and 8 parking tickets issued during
the month.
Some of the cases investigated during the month concerned 1 felony case
•
(forgery); 14 misdemeanor cases
(petit larceny, bad checks,
criminal mischief,
criminal trespass, ABC law); 1
violation (harassment) and 7
Village Ordinance
violations (unlicensed solicitors, curfew, after hours - Sunset Park).
The part -time officers worked a total of 209 hours and the regular officers
overtime for the month totaled 19 hours.
