HomeMy WebLinkAboutZoning Officer's Report 4/2/1970• VILLAGE OF CAYUGA BEIGHTS REPORT OF ZONING OFFICER April 6, 1970 A zoning permit for construction of a 50' tower in the residential area was denied. Mr. Richard Locke at 1003 Triphammer Road was notified by letter that his house did not comply with the Zoning Ordinance which restricts the construction of houses in the residential area to two family units. In a telephone call with Mr. Locke on the 16th of last month he stated that the kitchen was not being used but that he would not remove the kitchen from the downstairs north living area as suggested by the Zoning Officer to make the building comply with the Zoning Ordinance. One zoning permit was issued during the last month for construction of a $19,000 addition in the residential area. As mentioned in the last zoning officer's report the Village has received • notice from the Mayors Joint Municipal Survey Committee that there are bills in the New York State Legislature that if passed will take away the zoning powers of the Villages and Towns. This matter was not discussed at the last Board meeting but it is the Zoning Officer's opinion that if the Village Board loses its control of zoning within the Village it will not be to the best interest of the Village.
