REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER
April 1970
The Village Engineer meet with Thomas G. Miller, Consulting Engineer, to
examine the capacity of the sewer lines that carry sewage from the Town of
Lansing area where a 120 unit motel is proposed. A copy of Mr. Miller's
report is on file at the Village Office and will be available at the
April meeting. It is our joint conclusion that there is ample capacity in
the Village sewer system to handle the additional flow from the proposed
motel. There is one section of 340' of 10" pipe in lower Remington Road
that might possibly have to be replaced with 12" pipe. It is understood
that if this is necessary the Town of Lansing will bear the cost which is
estimated to be about $5,000.
M. W. Guidi Construction Inc. has requested final payment for their contract
of renovating the Village Hall.
A bid proposal has been received from M. W. Guidi Construction Inc. for
$496 to change the swing of the main entry door to the Village Hall. This
bid seems excessive and it should be determined if it is absolutely necessary
• to change the swing of this door and also if there are some other alternative
solutions. If the work must be done additional bids should be secured.
There is a State Contract Bid Price for a portable air compressor of 125 cfm.
This is the size of air compressor that was to be put out to bid. It is a
good price and by a good manufacturer and it is the recommendation of the
Village Engineer that this air compressor be purchased under the State Contract
Price of $3,034.
Mr. Robert Tyrrell was examined by Dr. George G. McCauley, as the Board
requires for all new employees, and was found to be physically qualified for
his position with the Village.
