Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Subject: Activities of the Police Department for March 1970 Gentlemen: The Department handled 44 complaints and investigated 7 motor vehicle accidents. There were 84 uniform traffic tickets and 19 parking tickets issued for the month. In addition 5 Village Court Bench warrants were served and 5 criminal arrests were made. Some of the cases investigated during the month concerned 2 felony cases (grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property) and 13 Smisdemeanor cases (petit larceny, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, aggravated harassment, possession of fireworks, possession of dangerous drug and assault 3rd degree). The part -time officers worked a total of 77 hours and the regular officers overtime for the month totaled 29 hours. Total number of compensatory hours to be disposed of is 305. Approval is requested to order two new patrol cars. The cars will be purchased on State contract at a price of approximately $2184 per car. Delivery date of the cars is 90 days from date of order. Approval is requested for the purchase of three radio monitors as indicated in 1970 -71 budget request for capital equipment, approximate total cost $500. Respectfully submitted, Tack W.
