Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Subject: Activities of the Police Department for October 1969 Gentlemen: The Department handled 59 complaints and investigated 9 motor vehicle accidents. There were 5B traffic tickets and 54 parking tickets issued. An investigation was conducted in cooperation with the United States Postal Inspectors and the New York State Police concerning the theft of money from the Corners Branch Post Office. As a result of this investigation, one person was arrested and has plead guilty • to a charge of larceny. One vehicle was stolen from the Village and later recovered in the City of Ithaca. Some of the other cases investigated were 7 bad check cases, 4 petit larceny cases, 10 criminal mischief cases, and 2 public lewdness cases. On October 17, Patrolman Cooper attended an F.B.I. Seminar on law enforcement at Binghamton. The officers worked a total of 161 hours overtime during October and the part -time officers worked 72 hours. Respectfully submitted, Jack W.
