Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees held at 4 :00 P.M.
July 21, 1969 at the Village Hall, 194 Pleasant Grove Road.
PRESENT: Mayor F. G. Marcham; Trustees Ronald E. Anderson, Verne A. Fogg,
Margaret M. McElwee, Carl H. Nelson, Rene F. Randolph; Engineer John B. Rogers;
Treasurer Gordon B. Wheeled Sgt. Harlin R. McEwen.
OTHERS PRESENT: Representative of The Ithaca Journal.
VOTED to approve Abstract of Audited Voucher dated July 21, 1969 as follows
except for the voucher to Donald S. Lavigne.
Sewer Fund - $23077.88
General Fund - $1253418.73
Capital Fund - $30584.16
RESOLUTION #1523 - PLEASANT GROVE ROAD WATER LINE AND
HYDRANT
VOTED to approve payment of $3,113.28 for new water line and fire hydrant on
Pleasant Grove Road out of the Water and Sewer Capital Reserve Fund.

RESOLUTION #1524 - APPROVE PURCHASE OF AIR CONDITIONER
AND GRAVELY MOWER
VOTED to approve formally the provisional action taken concerning the purchase
of an Air Conditioning Unit for the Village Office at a cost not to exceed
$300.00 and the purchase of a Gravely mowing machine used by the Village work
force not to exceed $1,000.

RESOLUTION #1525 - PURCHASE ENVELOPES FOR VILLAGE JUSTICE
VOTED to approve the purchase of 1500 government printed stamped envelopes
for the Village Justice at a price of $110.15.
RESOLUTION #1526 - AUTHORITY TO REMOVE DISEASED ELM TREES
VVIED to apply to the Commissioner of Agriculture for authority to remove
diseased elm trees on specified private property or lots at the expense of
the property owners.
RESOLUTION #1527 - BOND REPAYMENT SCHEDULE
VOTED to approve the bond repayment schedule as submitted by the Marine Midland
Trust Company of Western New York for the payment of a total of $170,150 at
the rate of $10,000 a year for 17 years.

The Board discussed the preparation of specifications for the reconstruction
and renovation of the new Village Hall. Engineer Rogers said he thought it
likely that he would complete specifications in about seven days. This would
allow some ten days for bidding and would offer the promise that the work
would begin about the middle of August.
