Marcham, Mayor Members of the Board of Trustees Village of Cayuga Heights Gentlemen: I hereby submit my report for the operations of the Fire Department for the month of January 1969• Fire Calls: 1 -4 -69 503 Warren Road, chimney fire 1 -8 -69 106 Kay Street, electrical equipment 1 -8 -69 176 Pleasant Grove Road, structural 1 -11 -69 Hill Drug Store, ballast in lighting fixture 1 -17 -69 Cayuga Heights School, oxygen call 1 -23 -69 822 Renshaw Road, pan of food on stove Investigations and miscellaneous: 1 -6 -69 North of 214 North Triphammer Road, burning complaint • 1 -23 -69 Sapsucker Woods Road, burning complaint Inspections: 1 -16 -69 Atwaters Super Duper, stores in the Corners Community Center, Lansing Apartments West, Chateau Claire Apartments, Lansing Apartments East, 106 Cayuga Heights Road 1 -23 -69 310 Triphammer Road 1 -30 -69 508 Highland Road Approval is requested for the purchase of two nozzles to replace two old models which are no longer serviceable. Total cost is $202.30. The Fire Council requests permission to let bids for a multi- purpose vehicle to replace the 1962 sedan currently in use. The present vehicle is in need of $200.00 worth of mechanical repairs if it is to be kept in service. The body is starting to rust out in the rocker panels and the quarter panels. This vehicle is used for all emergency runs, investigations, inspections, and other department bus- iness. Maximum cost for a suitable vehicle would be $3500.00. The funds for such a vehicle would come from the reserve equipment fund. A sufficient balance should be on hand March 1, 1969, to cover the cost of such a vehicle and the remaining bal- ance due on the recently purchased pumper. The Fire Council also requests that the annual salary of the Fire Inspector be increased from $500 to $1,000 due to the increased work load. Respectfully submitted, • S /R. A. Vorhis Richard A.
