Absent: Wayne Fleming Others: Brent Cross, Yelena Kurlavova, Bruce Stark, Realtor, Mary Beth Norton, and Barbara Sosna. Chairman Cisne opened the meeting at 7:00 pm and gave an overview of the meeting format and the meeting requirements. The first case up for review was a updated request to build a new single family dwelling at 163 Remington Road. The new height of the proposed structure was now at 31’, which is still greater than the 25’ allowed by Section 5: Height of Buildings, in the Village of Cayuga Heights Zoning Ordinance. Mr. Stark presented a report by an independent engineer. Copies of this report were distributed to the Board for their review. Mr. Stark also presented additional drawings. Brent Cross then gave his observations on the height issue. There was discussion from Mary Beth Norton and Barbara Sosna on the lake views, as well as the proposed distance from the street to the proposed house (40 ft.). Mr. Joe Price, owner of the land where the proposed house is being built was not in attendance and the Board asked Mr. Stark if Mr. Price was in favor of this house. Mr. Stark felt that Mr. Price was in favor of the sale and the building of the house. There was more discussion on the size and style of the proposed house. The meeting was closed for deliberations at 7:30 pm. Joe Petrillose was still concerned about the height and the fact that the proposed house will be a tight fit on the lot. All the board members felt that the situation has “practical difficulties.” Motion by Ken Robinson MOVE to approve petition for variance concerning the practical difficulties involved. Seconded by Peter McClelland. APPROVED by Robin Cisne, Marian Kira, Ken Robinson, Joe Petrillose and Peter McClelland. Meeting was adjourned at 7:35 pm. Respectfully submitted, Norma R. Manning Clerk 6/16/03 Clerk’s note: Minutes were previously distributed with the “new height of the proposed structure” incorrectly listed as 30’. The agreed new height of the proposed structure is 31’.
