Honorable Ronald Anderson, Mayor
Board of Trustees
Village of Cayuga Heights
Monthly Report- December, 2001
During the Month of December, the Cayuga Heights Fire Department responded to
sixteen medical emergencies and eighteen fire related calls. Of the calls, fourteen were in
the Town of Ithaca and fourteen were in the Village. The fire department also provided
mutual aid assistance six times during the month. The Cayuga Heights Fire. Department:
received no mutual aid assistance.
Effective January 21"` I regretfully resign my position as Fire Chief. At the present time
I'm unable to perform the time commitment required for this.position. I have been.-
working with I' Assistant Chief Randall during the last couple of weeks and I feel
confident that the transition will be smooth. I wish to thank the Village Board for their
support of the fire• department and our goals of providing the best possible service
available. It has been a wonderful experience working with the Village Board and the
community.
Sincerely,
Robert D. Day
Chief
