Re: Village of Cayuga Heights/ PBA: June 12000- May 31, 2004 Contract
I am pleased to announce that last week, the Village of Cayuga Heights and the Police
Benevolent Association reached an agreement for anew four year contract. The agreement provides
for wage increases of 3% in the first year, 3.75% in the second year, and 4% in the last two years of
the contract. An increase in the rotating shift pay was also negotiated as well as a signing bonus.
It is respectfully requested that the Trustees approve the Agreement as negotiated.
As a result of the negotiations, the following sections of the contract were changed:
§7.12 Change of reference from one day to eight (8) hours
§ §7.45/9.92 Move §7.45 to §9.92 (re: off -duty appearances)
§10.11 Wage Increase
§10.42 Educational Reimbursement
§10.7 Rotating Shift Pay
§ §12.11/12.13 Editorial changes to these sections (Health Plan/ Out of Pocket Expenses)
§ 12.16 Cash out of unused sick time hours reduced from 960 to 680

I wanted to thank the Trustees for this opportunity to work with the Village and the other
members of the Village bargaining team, Jeff Silber and Ken Lansing. I look forward to the next
