VILLAGE OF CAYUGA HEIGHTS
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Minutes of the continuation of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Cayuga Heights of May 17, 1999, held May 27, 1999, at 4:00 PM in the Village Hall.
Present: Mayor Anderson, Trustees Kira, and Dunning, Treasurer Silber, Clerk Kord.
Absent: Trustees Fleming, Bisogni, Kusse, Meinhardt. Supt. of PW Cross, Police Chief
Lansing, Fire Chief Day, Attorney Tyler.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Anderson at 4:15 PM.
Mayor Anderson reported on the following:
He has received more information on the dispute between Ruth and William
Crepet and Bolton Point over a large water bill. Bolton Point sent him copies of
the meter reading response cards sent in by the Crepets as well as a letter sent to
the Crepet's attorney, Elizabeth Bixler, dated Jan. 8, 1996, informing her of the
possibility of a•leak and excessive water bills. Jack Reukheim from Bolton Point
will meet with the Crepets to discuss the situation.
- Mayor Anderson attended a meeting of the Cayuga Lake Watershed. At this time
there are 27 municipalities signed up to participate and another 13 anticipated.
- Mayor Anderson contacted the Ithaca High School in order to lodge a complaint
about the excessive noise from the outdoor speaker system.
Mayor Anderson informed the Board that he recommended that Patricia Button
fill the position of Court Clerk being vacated by Julia Hughes, at a salary of $9.75
per hour. The Board had no objection.
- The negotiation is continuing with the PBA on combining overtime, longevity,
and educational incentive.

Treasurer Silber presented the abstract of Warrants, dated 5/27/99, in the following
amounts; General Fund, $72,917.25; Water Fund, $46,948.24; and Sewer Fund,
$4,510.80. He noted two changes on page one, the correct account number for All Mode
is A1640.2 and the correct account number for the first listing for Lights and Sirens, LTD
is A3120.41.
Motion by Trustee Dunning, seconded by Mayor Anderson,
VOTED to approve the Abstract of Warrants subject to ratification at the next meeting.
Trustees Kira, and Dunning and Mayor Anderson voted YES.
Treasurer Silber also reported the he has the 125 Plan from SIEBA and that it would be in
place by the end of the week. The employees will be allowed a 1 month enrollment
period.

Clerk Kord presented a letter that was received from Sally Gibb at 115 N. Sunset Dr.
asking that her property be considered as a one family residence. The residence originally
had a small apartment, but it was absorbed into the main house in 1987 and has been used
as such ever since. The Board felt that they had no objection to the proposal, however
agreed to wait until the next meeting to take a vote when more trustees are present.
Motion by Trustee Kira seconded by Trustee Dunning,
VOTED to adjourn the meeting at 4:45 PM. Trustees Kira and Dunning and Mayor
Anderson voted YES.
