Motion by Trustee Kira, seconded by Trustee Meinhardt:
VOTED to approve the Abstract of Warrants dated
5/29/97 in the following
amounts:
Minutes of Special Meeting - 5/29/97 2
General Fund - $23,743.41; Sewer Fund - $44,047.11; Water Fund - $58,028.02.
Trustees bisogni, Kira, Meinhardt, Mayor Anderson voted YES.
Motion by Trustee Meinhardt, seconded by Trustee Bisogni:
RESOLUTION 4837 ADOPT SALARY SCHEDCULE FOR DPW
VOTED to adopt the Salary Schedule for Department of Public Works employees,
as printed in the Budget document on page 16, for the Fiscal Year June 1, 1997
through May 31, 1998. Trustees Bisogni, Kira, Meinhardt, Mayor Anderson
voted YES.
Supt. Cross left the meeting.
The Mayor reported that Kevin Kauffman, Executive Director of SCLIWC, has re-
quested a resolution to allow Bolton to bring more water out of the Lake -
a draft copy of same was distributed to Trustees.
Motion by Trustee Kira, seconded by Trustee Bisogni:
RESOLUTION 4838 - AUTHORIZE SCLIWC TO ACT AS LEAD AGENCY
FOR A PROPOSED ACTIVITY
A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights author-
izing the Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission to act as Lead
Agency on behalf of the Village of Cayuga Heights for a Specific Activity
WHEREAS, each of the five municipalities party to the Agreement of Municipal
Cooperation, establishing the Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water
Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), are represented by two
Commissioners on the governing board of the Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission requested that their staff plan the administrative
steps necessary to secure approval for withdrawing raw water from Cayuga Lake
that at a minimum match the intended operational capacity of the Bolton Point
Water Treatment Facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (herein-
after referred to as the DEC) has determined that a coordinated review per
the State Environmental Quality Review Act (hereinafter referred to as SEQRA)
is required in order to modify their existing November 10, 1972 Water Supply
Application Decision (hereinafter referred to as proposed activity); and,
WHEREAS, the DEC has suggested that the Commission act as Lead Agency for the
proposed activity; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights agrees with
the DEC that the Commission should be Lead Agency for the proposed activity; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cayuga Heights desires to for-
mally provide the Commission with the authority to act as Lead Agency on its
behalf for the proposed activity.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Cayuga Heights authorizes the Commission to act as Lead Agency on its behalf
for the proposed activity. Trustees Bisogni, Kira, Meinhardt, Mayor Anderson
voted YES.
Trustee Bisogni left the meeting.
Re the letter from James Hanson concerning the Local Waterfront Revitalization
program, the Mayor named Trustee Meinhardt to serve on the Steering SubCommittee
and Brent Cross to serve on the Planning SubCommittee. The Mayor reported that
$50,000 has been allocated by the State to prepare a joint LWR program for six
