refund of tax penalty
Dear Ms. Mangione,
I received a tax reminder for my bill dated July 1'4and was surprised as I thought I had paid it using my web bankingsystem' I have liverd at 523 Highland Rd since 1997 andhave aiways paid my tax bill on time.To my dismay' when I checked by online bank account, it seems that the transaction had not compreted and I had notpaid the bill.
I called Angela Porjufalski and explained the situation and requested a waiver of the penarty fee. she explained that itwas not likely ' corrsidering the late date but that I should prv ,r"r" biil and r courd ,"qu"ra a waiver from the board at thenext board meetirrg' lt turns out I will be out of town during ihe Rugust meeting, so she suggested I courd write you anemail ' explaining the situation and request that you make the request to the board on my beharf at the next meeting.
I understand the rr:ason for the penalty, but as I explained, I have never paid my bill late, have never accrued a latepenalty in the 17 years I have lived in my house. I have successfully used the web banking in the past, so I can,t account
r:JJI:?:iffii,:t::" was not successiullv completed, uui r *irr in the future doubte-check to make sure the payment
I would very much appreciate the board allowing me a one time waiver of the penalty on my tax bill ( amount 51s7.03).Thank you very much for considering my request, and I sincerely hope the board will rule in mv favor.
Thank you
