I am David Gries. I live with my wife, Elaine, at 23 Spruce Lane, a short walk
fnom hene. I am Professor Emenitus in Computen Science at Connell.
We necently leanned of the Dnaft of the Compnehensive Plan fon Cayuga Heights.
We appneciate the work the Planning Board on this oven the years. We know this
is all voluntary wonk, taking a gneat deal of time, by people who believe they
have the Village's intenest at heant.
we are aghast at some of the necommendations, as is almost everyone we talk
The plan suggests nezoning thnee lange spaces as Medium Residential: an anea
east of Tniphammen, an anea east of Pleasant Gnove, and the Kenda1 field. This
will pnoduce more traffic congestion, destnoying oun quality of life and changing
the chanacten of the neighbonhood. I don't want Tniphammen to look mone and mone
like Highway 13 at Seneca Stneet, but that is what the pnoposed change is aiming
toward.
