Discussion: Mayor Supron has approached Sgt Steinmetz to step in as Officer in Charge until the Board can make arrangements to fill the Chief position. All approve – no nays or abstains – motion carried It was noted that at the February 13, 2012 meeting that the 25 years of dedicated service of Chief would be recognized formally. . Report of Treasurer Mangione – 5 minutes  Resolution to pay two bills missed from the Jan 9th abstract to avoid interest. A partial payment was done at the Jan 9th Board Meeting $186,657.00 - This additional money needs to be paid by February 1st to avoid interest charges. Motion: Trustee Szekely Second: Trustee Andolina Resolution #7013 to authorize the Treasurer to pay $10,582 for the Police and Fire Retirement portion and an additional $31,978 to the Employee’ Retirement System both with a February 1, 2012 due date to avoid interest. Discussion – from the original statement submitted for payment only a portion was set up and approved for payment at the Jan 9th meeting. To avoid interest charges, the balance is due by February 1st. The original payment was sent to MaryJane Neff instead of the Treasurer. The interest is higher that what would be earned on the savings.
