Because you require prermits for all fences including exclosures and fences under 4ft height, this will be
onerous if no,t impossible to enforce.
There are no provisions concerning temporary fences nor any definition of what a temporary fence is. ln
the ordinance does fence really mean all fences whether or not they are temporary?
Requiring all fencing over 4ft in height to be of one color - black, brown, grey or green is a problem. lt is
very difficult to construct a fence of one color unless it is made of wood or cast iron and neither of these
materials would be self supporting of 90% open.
How will decisions be made over fences that must come down because they do not comply with the
new terms ol'the ordinance? Some fences have been up for many years without the Zoning Office
taking any action becaruse of on going discussions over the ordinance?
Trustee Szekr:ly recent received a variance for a side yard fence - quite rightly I think - but a fence like
her's would not fit within the guidelines of the ordinance. ls this really your intention to force everyone
with simialar good looking fences to apply for variances which will not be guaranteed particularly after a
new ordinance has been passed?
