Some questions are: 1. How many deer are there within the village? 2. Will you guarantee that with your killing program you will actually, permanently reduce the deer population? 3. Have you sought the opinions of many experts with varying information on Lyme disease, deer human interaction, natural habitat issues, song bird population, deer vehicle collisions, and the use of fencing in similar communities? 4. Can you guarantee that the research that you rely upon is based upon strong, solid, reliable and repeatable data collected from many reputable universities and institutes? 5. Will you guarantee that violence in the village will not affect its culture or the sense of community that we have long had? & Could the monies spent on deer remediation be more wisely spent on sidewalks, speed control, stop lights, police and police equipment, safety issues for the elderly and children and other public safety projects? 7. How much money have the Mayor and The Board of Trustees spent on the deer killing project since 2007? What will be spent on the future? 8. Is it clear that you have fiduciary duties, legal, financial and ethical, to the residents of the Village of Cayuga Heights and the surrounding community?
