also 5 motor vehicle accidents investigated. There were 27 traffic tickets issued and 3 parking tickets
written.
There were no felony complaints reported for the month of December.
There were 10 misdemeanors reported: 7 for larceny and 3 for aggravated harassment. Five of the larcenies
were reports of personal belongings that had been stolen from vehicles. There have been no suspects
identified but the investigations continue. In another case,a resident who lives at Kendal of Ithaca reported
she had some jewelry stolen from her residence sometime within the month. The victim had an idea of who
may have taken the jewelry and the officer is handling the case accordingly. Finally, a resident called to
report that they had a package stolen from their front porch. UPS delivered a box to their residence and left
it on the porch, but within hours of delivery it had been stolen. There are no suspects in this case. A
residence called to report that she had received a few text messages, one of a threatening nature, from an
unknown cell phone number. 'There are no specific suspects but the officer is still investigating the matter.
Another harassment report was regarding a male and female who had recently broke off their relationship.
The male half requested an officer tell the female half to stop text messaging and calling him. The officer
did so without incident and no further complaints have been filed between the two. The last harassment
report came from an elderly couple. A collection agency has been calling their home asking to speak to
someone they do not know. The caller gets quite agitated and speaks in a threatening manner. The
investigation is ongoing.
