Sewer Rents: We had a meeting with the representatives from Towns of Lansing and Dryden (Ithaca did not attend), and the Village of Lansing to give them an update on the plans and progress for implementation of a new billing method. After much discussion, there was a concern that there is not enough time to coordinate this change in time for this year budget. It was suggested that we should move forward with the adoption of the necessary changes in the local law with an implementation date of either 1/1/12 or 6/1/12. Therefore, we should continue with the planned public hearing on the new language for the sewer use ordinance. 2. Sheds: In anticipation of adopting the new shed law, we have received the required GML 239 review from Tompkins County Planning. They have determined that there are no negative intercommunity or county-wide impacts. 3. 825 Hanshaw Road: As of today, Beaver Dam Construction has completed the construction of the new shed roof over the front porch and should have the new roof/overhang over the side windows completed early in the week of 2/7/12. This satisfies the condition of completion within 30 days of commencement of the work as requested by the trustees 4. Clerk's Office: Just before Norma retired, the Trustees authorized Beaver Dam Construction to build a new dividing partition in the Clerk's Office to create a vestibule. Since she was leaving, we postponed the work to allow the new Clerk to decide what was needed. Now that Mary has had a chance to see the office in action, she has confirmed that a vestibule is needed. Since the DPW crew has some time on non-snow days, it has been suggested that we use their labor to construct the new walls- Beaver Dam Construction had quote approximately $1,500 to provide the labor to do the job. I anticipate that the DPW crew would be able to do the project for somewhat less labor cost. (see attached layout sketch for construction details) 5. Village Hall Electric Project: Pleasant Valley Electric has completed the task of removing all of the old wiring/fuse panels in the Village Hall basement. The work was originally estimated to take 2 men for 3 days. The actual work took 1 man for 4 days. 6. Fence Survey: Joe Lisi has promised to have a preliminary version of the fence survey for us to review before the Trustee meeting.
