Subject: Deer plan
As a long-time resident of the Village of Cayuga Heights, I write to protest the plan to kill deer by the
barbaric "net and bolt" method, which violates the standards of our community.
I also protest the Village administration's adoption of an expensive experimental plan without trying
simpler,far more sensible measures, such as amending the fence ordinance to allow those residents
who want to protect their plants to do so. Adopting this untried and expensive technique is an
injudicious use of our tax dollars at a time when the Village has other needs.
I urge the Board to heed the large number of residents who are opposed to this plan and to first adopt
other measures.
