HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes of the Special Board Meeting for SEQR December 9, 2009.pdf 1 Minutes of the Board of Trustees December 9, 2009 Village of Cayuga Heights Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees to perform the SEQRA long form review for the Draft Deer Remediation Plan dated 9/21/09 Present: Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Riesman, Supron and Szekely, Attorney Marcus, Chief Boyce, Clerk Manning Absent: Trustee Donner Others: Attorney John Stevens, James LaVeck, Jenny Stein, Eric Huang ************************************************************************* The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM by Mayor Gilmore. The Mayor asked for a resolution to approve the minutes of November 3. Motion by Trustee Bors Seconded by Trustee Szekely Move to approve Resolution xxxx approving the minutes of November 3. Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Riesman, Supron and Szekely VOTED YES. Mayor Gilmore handed the meeting over to Attorney Marcus, who led the Trustees in finalizing Part 1 of the SEQR form. It was noted that the DEC has the “final review” of lead agency under advisement, and will finalize that with the Village in a few weeks. Trustee Supron will write a letter regarding deer count in the Village. Trustee Andolina will write a letter to New York State DEC to establish the status of endangered flora and fauna. He espects that the DEC will come back to the Village with a list of endangered plants in our geographic location. Attorney Marcus then gave an explanation of Part 2 to the trustees. At 11:10, there was a Motion by Trustee Szekely Seconded by Trustee Bors Move to pass Resolution xxxx to move into Private Session to discuss attorney client privilege. Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Riesman, Supron and Szekely VOTED YES. 2 Motion by Trustee Andolina Seconded by Trustee Bors Move to exit Private Session at 11:28 am. Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Riesman, Supron and Szekely VOTED YES. Motion by Mayor Andolina Seconded by Trustee Bors Move to appoint the Mayor as Freedom of Information Request appeals officer. Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Riesman, Supron and Szekely VOTED YES. Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Donner, Riesman, Supron and Szekely VOTED YES. It was decided that a date for the next SEQR meeting would be scheduled at the December 14 Board of Trustees meeting. Motion by Trustee Szekely Seconded by Trustee Andolina Move to adjourn meeting at 11:30 AM Mayor Gilmore, Trustees Andolina, Bors, Riesman, Supron and Szekely VOTED YES.
