Cross, Clerk Manning ****************************************************************** At 5:04 pm, Mayor Lynn called the Meeting to order. The order of business was the matter of approving the labor contract for the D.P.W. The negotiating team, consisting of the Mayor, Supt. Cross, and Deputy Mayor Antil, assisted by Laurie Johnson and Jeff Silber reported that the negotiations were completed in a reasonable matter of time. Some subjects of discussion were tool allowances and uniforms. The salary schedule is in the contract. The contract was presented to the Board at the May meeting, and there have been no changes made since its presentation to the Board. Motion by Trustee Antil Moved to authorize the Board to ratify and the Mayor to sign the Labor Agreement between the Village of Cayuga Heights Department of Public Works and Teamsters Local Union 317 for the period of June 1, 2005 – May 31, 2009. Trustees Antil, McNeil, Mount, Staley and Collyer voted YES. The Mayor then reported that bond issue will be deferred until the next regular meeting in July. Trustee Collyer asked if there was a problem with the proposed resolution. Mayor Lynn said that he wants to look at alternatives, such as renting space to house our offices. Mayor Lynn asked Supt. Cross to proceed with the garage for the Police Dept. at the D.P.W. site as far as space, specs, etc. is concerned. Trustee Collyer commented on the road situation. There has been no pot hole filling done, and he feels that it would help a great deal with the road issues if that were done. He feels that this situation should be investigated. There was no further business. Motion by Trustee Antil Move to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Board at 5:12 pm. Trustees Antil, McNeil, Mount, Staley and Collyer voted YES. Respectfully submitted, Norma R. Manning, Clerk
