Built in 1:94:1, the Barnett house is surrounded by 19th—century houses. The Barnett house does fit into the scale and. character of the streetscape formed by the older structures. 18. Neither the 1853 or 1666 Jacksonville show a structure on this property. (Historical Ownership List attached) 21. Barnett House The Barnett house faces ?ew York State Rr_ute 96. The L- shaped plan is ooe-and--a-half stories tall the main body of the house parallel to the road. The house is sided with wood shingles and has a centrally placed brick chimney. The douse is cappcd ti.lith a steeply pitche J multi -ruble roof and sits on a concrete !block foundation with windows in the basement. The gable roof has plain projecting eaves with solid verges capping the ends.
