Narrative Description of Significance 5069 Jacksonville Road was constructed as the parsonage for the Jacksonville Methodist -Episcopal Church, now known as the Jacksonville Community Church. The exact date of construction is unknown, but construction likely occurred in the 1840s. In 1843, Reverend S.W. Alden became the first resident preacher of the parish, and may have been the first resident. The church was responsible for its construction, and retained ownership of the building until 1979. It housed the church's minister from its construction to approximately 1969. From between about 1969 and 1979, the church rented it out. In 1979, the property was sold to Diane Hillman.
