PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
MINUTES -- June 6, 1972
Meeting called to order by Mr. Bruce M. Payne, Town Supervisor,
at 7: 30. Present were Mr. Stanley Tsapis, Town Attorney, Mr.
Ray Albrectson, Mr. John Rutter, Mr. H. W. Smith, members of the
Zoning Commission; Mr. Frederick Allen, Mr. Dana Payer, Mr. James
Rice, Town Board; Mr. Payne, Town Supervisor, Mrs. Arlee Robinson,
Zoning Officer, Miss Alice Conover, Town Clerk, Mrs. A. Beers,
secretary.
Guests: Charles T. Currey, David A. Vesley, Mrs. Charles Currey,
Mrs. David Vesley, Mrs. Donald Dimick, Mr. Donald Dimick, Mrs.
Onalee Conklin, Gordon Conklin, Ray Robbins, Mrs. Betty Robbins,
Earl Richer, J. J. Van Natta.
Mr. Huttar made a statement giving reasons for revising the Zoning
Ordinance to bring it up to date. He said the Commission made no
attempt to change the basic pattern or philosophy of the previous
edition of the Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Ordinance contains
three basic sections: Business, Residential and Planned Development.
Mr. Tsapis then asked for questions and comments from the guests.
Mrs. Robbins spoke in relation to that portion of the Zoning Ordinance
pertaining to dog kennels, expressing disagreement by kennel owners.
A general discussion followed, after which Mr. Tsapis suggested the
kennel owners take the matter to their kennel organization (Finger
Lakes Kennel Club) and draft their suggested revisions which will be
considered by the Commission. They were' asked •to have their suggestions
before the Commission by June 20, 1972. Copy of letter •to Mrs.
Robbins is attached.
Mr. Tsapis then explained the Mobil Home Ordinance and asked for
questions from the guests. After a short general discussion
Mr. Conklin congratulated the Commission of the fine job it had
done.
Meeting adjourned at 10 p.m.
