SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
2026 Budget
Town of Ulysses
Sept. 17, 2025
The meeting was held in person at the Town Hall at 10 Elm St., Trumansburg NY as well as via Zoom
videoconference. Notice of Town Board meetings are posted on the Town’s website and Clerk’s board.

CALL TO ORDER:
Ms. Olson called the meeting to order at 9:02am.
ATTENDANCE:
TOWN OFFICIALS:
In person-
Supervisor- Katelin Olson
Board members- Michael Boggs, Liz Weatherby, Mary Bouchard
Town Clerk- Carissa Parlato
Bookkeeper- Blixy Taetzsch
Second Deputy Supervisor- Teressa Naylor (arrived at 9:15am)
Youth Development Coordinator- Rachel Kennedy (left at 10am)
Recreation Director- Will Glennon (arrived at 9:54am, left at 10am)
Absent-
Rich Goldman

2026 TENTATIVE BUDGET DISCUSSION:
A FUND
YOUTH:
Ms. Taetzsch shared the budget that the Youth Commission developed that includes Youth
Development.
Ms. Kennedy discussed the following with the group:
•current and future plans
•unexpected soft skills gained through youth employment
•potential long-term space for youth in a local church
Ms. Olson publicly acknowledged Ms. Kennedy’s work and her particular ability to form relationships.
RECREATION:
Mr. Glennon shared the following:
•future plans for camps to offer opportunities to those who don’t get into summer rec program

• need to increase size of camps to meet demand (as the space and number of counselors
allows)
• success in adult rec program
Ms. Olson is requesting a new position for a Recreation Assistant for adult rec.
OTHER A FUND DISCUSSION:
Ms. Taetzsch shared updated budget information.
Ms. Naylor shared the community funding applicants that are recommended for funding by the
Finance Committee.
ADJOURN:
Mr. Bouchard made a motion to adjourn at 10:22am. This was seconded by Mr. Boggs and passed
unanimously.
