UPDATE FROM TOWN SUPERVISOR:
Greetings,Ulyssians!
We are chugging through the fall and nearing the end of the year!I plan to spend at least part of the weekend raking up leaves and getting outdoor chores wrapped up before the snow(!)potentially arrives next week.
As Veterans'Day approaches,a special thanks to everyone who has served our country in uniform,and to all the families who supported and shared in that sacrifice.
The changing of seasons also means our thoughts may be turning to holidays and gatherings,and I know many are concerned and worried about ourselves and neighbors.As a reminder,if you are able to aid local food
insecurity efforts,please connect directly with the Trumansburg Food Pantry.
Rarely do I say,"i learned something interesting on Facebook!",but this week I did.99%of Americans are closer to poverty than we are to being ultra-wealthy.How many of us have had a paycheck that did not cover all
of the bills for a month?Or an unexpected expense that left us scrambling?I know I have,and I bet you have,too.
Please remember that the Food Pantry exists to help whenever someone is in need--whether it's for one day,one week,or longer.Let us share what we have,and take what we need.Everyone is welcome.The next
distribution is from 3:30-6pm on Monday,November 17.
Additionally,a reminder that the next Town Board meeting was rescheduled from Tuesday,November 11 to Wednesday,November 12th at 7pm,due to Veterans'Day.The entire board packet is available j=and you're
welcome to join us in person or remotely.If you are able to come early,there will be an open house with Cornell Design Connect to share some ideas for potential designs of how to use the park donation on Cold
Springs,directly based on the hundreds of survey responses collected.
OPEN HOUSE TO VIEW DESIGNS FOR NEW TOWN PARK:
On August 27,2025,the Town Board voted to accept a donation of 15 acres of land on Cold Springs Road for the recreational purposes.In Fall 2025,the Town contracted with Cornell Design Connect to help create a
vision for the space.After weeks of surveying the public,a few designs will be unveiled.
Drop in to Town Hall on Wed.11/12 from 5:30-7pm to see what the park might becomel
SUPPORT NEEDED FOR THE TRUMANSBURG FOOD PANTRY:
Recent cuts and changes to SNAP(food assistance benefits)has created a critical need in our community.Many neighbors in our community are receiving drastically less for groceries as Thanksgiving approaches.

Town Board-Wed.11/12 at 7pm(Please note:this was rescheduled from the regular 2nd Tuesday meeting due to the Veterans'Day holiday).
Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee Open House-Wed.11/19,from 4-7pm at Town Hall.
