Chair Ann DiPetta called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm at the Town Hall.
Approval of Agenda
Motion:Weatherby motioned to approve the agenda; Klankowski seconded.

Motion: Klankowski motioned to approve the May meeting minutes as written; Meador seconded.

Privilege of the Floor
Krys Cail of 3110 Dubois Rd spoke about flood zones in the Town and suggested making the town
boundary line clearer on maps.
Motion: Marino motioned to close privilege of the floor; Klankowski seconded.

Old Business Items
A. Review Drafts of the Vision Statement, Housing Element, and Historic Preservation & Built
Environment Element
The committee discussed their review of the drafts so far and the timing of upcoming drafts to be
released.
Committee members discussed strategies for sharing and feedback on the drafts. Weatherby spoke
about getting copies out to Boards and the public before the next open house, which is being planned
for September.

A. Review Draft Economic Development Element
The committee discussed housing related to economic development and available data on income.
White mentioned survey responses received so far indicate there is focus on affordable housing. The
committee discussed property tax revenue.
The committee considered improvements to subjectivity in the language drafted so far.
The committee discussed other aspects of local and future businesses, including workforce,types of
industry,and new types of businesses such as dispensaries and their associated regulations.
B. Review Draft Environment&Natural Resources Element
Weatherby noted there has been a lot of discussion about flooding, but droughts should also be
addressed. Meador spoke about fire risks. Weatherby suggested improving language about the variety
of topography in the town. Weatherby suggested adding language about endangered species. Meador
spoke about advocating for less herbicide use near water.
Klankowski shared a response from NYSDEC related to jurisdictional wetlands on a property going
through site plan review with the Planning Board, mentioning property owners should be aware of new
regulations that may affect the timelines of their building projects.
C. Review Draft Climate Change&Resiliency Element
White spoke about the increase in online tools available since the last comp plan update that are
described in the chapter.
Meador spoke about invasive species and the difficulty in controlling them. Marino noted CCE has
information available.
D. Planning Process& Public Forum#2 Preparation
The committee discussed a possible date for the public forum in the fall. The event is expected to take
place in the late afternoon again, but a venue has not been chosen.
