Happy Friday, Ulysses!
Please note that the Town Hall parking lot project will begin next week. If you are coming to see us,
please use the Village parking lot across the street as we do not own the lot on the north side of the
building. If you have mobility issues and this is tricky for you, please give us a call at (607)387-5767 and
we'll do our best to assist you.
The project will likely last about 3 weeks. Thanks in advance for your patience.

COMMUNITY FORUM
"Aging Gracefully" will be the topic of a community forum on April 22 at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall,
69 East Main St. The discussion will be led by Dr. Neil Shallish, a well-known physician who has served
the Trumansburg area for many years. Having recently retired himself, Dr. Shallish will describe common
medical problems that concern everyone as we age and provide information on prevention and
treatment. The event is free and open to the public.
ANNUAL JCA PARK CLEANUP:
The Jacksonville Community Association (JCA) annual Earth Day Clean Up will be held on Saturday, April
19 from 9am to 12noon at the Jacksonville Community Park on Swamp College Road. Volunteers are
invited to help get this hidden gem of a park ready for the Spring season by clearing trails, picking up
brush, and connecting with friends and neighbors. Snacks and restrooms will be available. Please bring
your own tools and gloves if you have them. E-mail info@jcany.org with any questions.
LOOK FOR THE ZERO: USE ONLY PHOSPHORUS -FREE LAWN FERTILIZER
Regardless of the lawn's location, excess phosphorus can wash off and pollute lakes and streams,
harming fish.
DEC encourages homeowners to go phosphorus -free when using lawn fertilizer. Consumers should
review bag labels for phosphorus content when shopping for fertilizer. Fertilizer labels have three
numbers. The number in the middle is the percentage of phosphorus in the product.
For more information, visit DEC's Lawn Fertilizer webnage.
