Chair Ann DiPetta called the meeting to order at 5:31 pm at the Town Hall.
Approval of Agenda
Motion:Weatherby motioned to approve the agenda; Klankowski seconded.

Motion Carried.
Approval of Past Minutes
Motion: Klein motioned to approve the amended November 6 meeting minutes; Klankowski seconded.

abstain.
Motion Carried.
Privilege of the Floor
Krys Cail spoke about changes in hydrology throughout the Town, mentioning she would propose to the
Town Board to invest in a hydrology study.
Motion: Klein motioned to close privilege of the floor; Cohen seconded.

Old Business Items
Results of Focus Group#2: Environment&Natural Resources and Climate Change& Resiliency
Angelina White reviewed the results from the focus group.Weatherby spoke about opportunities with school
groups. Marino mentioned the opportunity for the Town to develop an open space plan at some point.
Threats included runoff, nutrient pollution, and deregulation.
New Business Items
Priorities Discussion(SWOT)for Environment& Natural Resources and Climate Change&Resiliency
The committee engaged in an exercise identifying strengths,weaknesses,opportunities, and threats in each
category. Committee members identified areas of environmental importance on a map of Ulysses.
Identified threats included HABs, industrial development,overdevelopment, and invasive plants and wildlife.
Cohen identified the lack of effective waste diversion as a weakness, but noted it is a potential area for

economic growth. Discussion ensued over strategies to raise awareness about local resources.Weatherby
noted there are now Right to Farm and Bee City signs at different points of entry in the Town.
Community Survey
White spoke about launching the community survey at the upcoming Winterfest. Discussion ensued over
survey questions.
Next Steps
The next meetings are scheduled for January 8 and February 5. Focus group#3 is tentatively planned for
December 13. Committee members discussed plans for attending Winterfest.
Upcoming topics include the Joint Visioning Session#1, reviewing the draft of the Economic Development,
Historic Preservation/Built Environment,and Housing Sections, and the Priorities Discussion (SWOT)for
Capital Facilities& Utilities,Transportation, and Community Well-Being.
Member Reports
Klankowski spoke about the inconsistencies with stream maps, mentioning the Town's adopted wetlands
map does not include streams. Weatherby noted the bids for parking lot renovations were unsealed earlier in
the day. Marino spoke about NYSERDA likely providing funds for solar panels.
