Notice of Town Board meetings are posted on the Town’s website and Clerk’s board. Video recordings of meetings are available on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWVIs--g9CpHIxdk9YxZyPw. CALL TO ORDER: Ms. Olson opened the meeting at 9:01am but noted that there was not a quorum of the board in person (local law for remote meetings requires 3 members in-person for action to be taken). However, since three board members were participating in a discussion the meeting was considered to be public. ATTENDANCE: TOWN OFFICIALS In person: Board member- Liz Weatherby Town Clerk- Carissa Parlato Bookkeeper/Budget Officer- Blixy Taetzsch Recreation Supervisor- Rachel Kennedy Via Zoom: Supervisor- Katelin Olson Board member- Michael Boggs YOUTH DEVELOPMENT BUDGET DISCUSSION: Ms. Olson noted that a minimum wage increase makes it necessary to increase other wages also so that a supervisor is not making the same as its employees. Additionally, the funding for this program is flat which equates to a decline since inflation has increased. She further noted that this program is running at a lower cost than has been done previously when the town was contracting with Cornell Cooperative Extension. EMS & FIRE: The budget amount originally given by the Village to the town will likely be amended from as Ms. Olson drew attention to the fact that the 2025 Fire budget costs were based on an assessment model but Ulysses was re-assessed in 2024 where the partnering towns of Hector and Covert were not. The village agreed to create an equalized model. A new third-party vendor is being sought by the Village for EMS billing. This could result in increased billing revenues for the town. 2 ADJOURN Ms. Weatherby made a motion to adjourn at 9:44am. This was seconded by Ms. Olson and passed unanimously. Respectfully submitted by Carissa Parlato, Town Clerk 9/18/24
