Chair Ann DiPetta called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm at the Town Hall.
Approval of Agenda
Motion: Klein motioned to approve the agenda; Klankowski seconded.

Approval of Past Minutes
Motion: Klein motioned to approve the June 5 meeting minutes as written; Klankowski seconded.

Motion Carried.
Privilege of the Floor
Krys Cail spoke about diversifying committees by offering stipends and suggested focusing on
neighborhood-specific issues.
New Business Items
Introduction to Matt Horn
Matt Horn spoke about scheduling. Meetings are anticipated to continue once monthly. Some meetings
may take place outside of the Town Hall.
Proposed Project Timeline
Horn described the planned methods of communication with the Town outside of meeting dates.
The public involvement plan will be formalized by the end of the next meeting; Horn also spoke about a
digital launch soon.
Options for developing the website for the project will be explored.
Focus groups will get started right away and be a main focus in autumn, outside of agriculture since

farms will be busy.
Public input from community visioning will guide the focus of discussions between the CPSC and Town
Board.
The 2009 comp plan will be audited to determine which past goals still need to be worked on and how
the relevance of issues has developed.
Horn spoke about general timelines, explaining that residents will be able to see progress as drafts are
ready.
Klein and Marino spoke about how important it is for community members to be involved in the early
stages of the planning process. Inevitably there will be some disagreements, but collecting public input
early on will help guide the process and mitigate this. Horn continued discussing outreach efforts.
Discussion ensued over the website.Weatherby briefly spoke about the Town's social media policy.
Horn noted that he will share examples of websites with the committee.
Klein spoke about treating the plan more as a living document as things develop. When something has
been accomplished it could be written into the plan to note the progress.
Marino spoke about working on this for the past plan and noted that she had discussed some items with
a few members from the 2009 committee.
Next Steps
Next Scheduled Meetings
The next meetings will be on the first Wednesday monthly through the remainder of 2024.
Review and Amend the Draft Public Involvement Plan
Discussion about the draft Public Involvement Plan will continue in September.
Draft Plan for Meeting Topics and Targeted Outreach
Horn mentioned that he would like to have an idea for meetings planned further in advance.
Members Reports
Marino spoke about progress that the Water Source Protection Plan Committee has made, noting that
there will be a draft in autumn.
