Vice Chair Linda Liddle called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM at Town Hall.
Approval of Agenda
Motion: Klein motioned to approve the amended agenda; Gragg seconded.

Approval of Past Minutes
Motion: Gragg motioned to approve the June 4 minutes as amended; Klein seconded.

Old Business Items
SPR2405-02: Woodring New Accessory Structure Final Site Plan Review
61 Maplewood Road, Parcel Number: 29.-1-18.2
The applicant, Mark Martinek, on behalf of the property owners Jeff and Nicole Woodring, proposes to
construct a new deck and walkway adjacent to an existing dwelling unit and concreate patio. Per the
Code of the Town of Ulysses (CTU) 212-44.A.1, accessory buildings are permitted in the LS zone subject
to the provisions of CTU 212-167, but require site plan review when within a slope overlay area,
pursuant to the provisions listed under CTU 212-19.
Martinek stated that he had provided a topographic map, which was the only additional item requested
by the Planning Board at the June 18 meeting.

Klein asked if it has been determined where the existing drain leads to. Martinek shared that the owners
had tested the drain last week and cold not tell where the water leads to. The Board agreed it seems
that the drain goes to a dry well, but the owners should keep an eye out for any erosion in the future.
Motion: Gragg motioned to approve Planning Board Resolution No. 2024-013: A Resolution of Final Site
Plan Approval of an Accessory Structure Located at 61 Maplewood Road, Town of Ulysses, Tax Parcel
29.-1-18.2; Klein seconded.
Vote: Gragg, aye; Klein, aye; Liddle, aye.

Board Member Training
Board members briefly discussed recently completed training requirements.
Potential Zoning Code Amendments
Motion: Klein motioned to schedule a public hearing for the final site plan review for Development
District 8 at the July 16 Planning Board meeting, pending receipt from the Town Board; Gragg seconded.
Vote: Gragg, aye; Klein, aye; Liddle, aye.
Motion Carried.
Klein noted there is a significant amount of outdated code that needs to be reviewed, and additionally
the code needs to be understandable.
Boggs spoke about sign ordinances and raised the question if intent is being met with current
regulations.
Liddle noted one upcoming item to be discussed is the use of stream and wetland maps, which
Klankowski has been reviewing.
Boggs suggested creating a list of code sections to start looking at.
Liddle suggested seeing if other development districts can follow the outline of the proposed changes to
DD8.
Liddle spoke about changes to stream regulations from DEC. The Board agreed that reviewing every
single stream individually would not be feasible, but upon application for any development this would
need to be checked.
Gragg suggested acting on the main issues soon, rather than making a list to work through later.
Discussion ensued over how to enforce noise issues.
Boggs stated that for now, the main items of discussion are signs, noise, water maps, and development
districts in general.
Klein suggested that the sign ordinance is too long and needs to be simplified.
Boggs noted that the second Town Board meeting in August will be canceled.
Boggs mentioned that the need for new Planning Board members has been announced in the Town
Clerkâs Newsletter.
