Boggs spoke about sign ordinances and raised the question if intent is being met with current regulations. Liddle noted one upcoming item to be discussed is the use of stream and wetland maps, which Klankowski has been reviewing. Boggs suggested creating a list of code sections to start looking at. Liddle suggested seeing if other development districts can follow the outline of the proposed changes to DD8. Liddle spoke about changes to stream regulations from DEC. The Board agreed that reviewing every single stream individually would not be feasible, but upon application for any development this would need to be checked. Gragg suggested acting on the main issues soon, rather than making a list to work through later. Discussion ensued over how to enforce noise issues. Boggs stated that for now, the main items of discussion are signs, noise, water maps, and development districts in general. Klein suggested that the sign ordinance is too long and needs to be simplified. Boggs noted that the second Town Board meeting in August will be canceled. Boggs mentioned that the need for new Planning Board members has been announced in the Town Clerk’s Newsletter. Motion: Gragg motioned to cancel the September 3, 2024 Planning Board meeting; Liddle seconded. Vote: Liddle, aye; Gragg, aye; Klein, aye. Motion Carried.
