UPDATE FROM TOWN SUPERVISOR OLSON:
Greengs, Ulyssians!
As we head into a holiday weekend, the Town extends its gratude to all of our acve-duty military, military veterans,
and their families for their service to the United States!
Thank you to everyone who turned out to vote on Tuesday, and congratulaons to Michael Boggs and Elizabeth
Weatherby for their reelecon to the Town Board, and Judge Mark Dresser for his re-elecon as a Town Jusce. I am
grateful for your service!
Last night the Town held a public informaon session on the proposed acquision of land for recreaonal purposes.
Have quesons about how the price of the land was determined, the demonstrated need for addional recreaon
space, or how the community planning process would work to determine the design of the property? Check out the
Town's updated Frequently Asked Questions answering 41 different quesons.
As a reminder, the special election will happen on December 6. Anyone already registered with the Board of
Elecons and who lives in/is registered with a Ulysses address (including the Village of Trumansburg) is all set to vote.
(Check your Board of Elecons registraon status here.) Anyone not registered (who is 18 years of age and a resident
of the Town at least 30 days in advance of the elecon) can register in-person for town-only elecons at Town Hall with
the Town's Board of Registraon on November 18th (noon-4pm) and November 21st (3-7pm). Absentee ballot
applicaons are available in hard copy at Town Hall starng Monday and online here.
In other news, the Town's Water Source Protecon Commiee sent a postcard to every property in Town (outside the
Village) seeking feedback on water issues via a survey. This is important informaon for the Town to understand
challenges our residents may be having accessing clean drinking water, and help guide how the Town can leverage local,
state, and federal resources to help improve the health and welfare of our community. A QR code is on the postcard. If
you have a smart phone you can open up the camera app and center it over the QR code, the weblink will pop up. You
can also pick up a paper copy from Town Hall. Please contact the Town Clerk (clerk@townofulyssesny.gov) if you
have any quesons about accessing a paper copy.
Finally, the Town Board will be meeng on Tuesday, November 14th at 7pm for our regular meeng. The agenda packet
is available here. The public is welcome to join us in person at Town Hall or aend remotely via Zoom.

DRINKING WATER PROTECTION SURVEY:
How is your drinking water? We want to know!
All Ulysses residents (outside the Village of Trumansburg) will receive a postcard in the next 10 days with a link to a
Drinking Water Survey. The Town of Ulysses is encouraging everyone to use this survey to describe where they get their
water from, and any problems with its’ quanty or quality, such as taste, color, or odor. Paper copies of the survey will
also be available at the Town Hall or you can go directly to the online survey at https://arcg.is/1DO1TT0. Responses
are requested by November 22.
The informaon will be a crical element in developing a comprehensive Water Source Protecon Plan that will ensure
sustainable drinking water resources throughout Ulysses in the coming years. A generalized summary of the Survey
results will be presented at a Workshop in early 2024, along with useful guidance such as how to protect groundwater
wells and filter systems for improving drinking water quality.
For more informaon, you can contact the Ulysses Source Water Protecon Plan Commiee by emailing Linda Liddle,
