UPDATE FROM TOWN SUPERVISOR KATELIN OLSON:
Back in 2020, many of us outside of the health care professions may not have known or ever used a N-95
or KN-95 mask. Today, courtesy of COVID, we're all experts on different types of masks, their comfort
level, and ability to let us comfortably breathe.
Lile did we in Upstate New York know, of course, in 2020 that N-95 or KN-95 masks are also useful for
helping protect us from parculates in the air due to smoke from forest fires. The Town of Ulysses does
have a limited quanty of masks available, so if you find yourself in need, please reach out or stop by the
Clerk's office.
On May 31, we had a wonderfully well-aended meeng on potenal public water routes along Route
96. Informaon about that meeng, including the presentaon by the Town's engineer, MRB Group, is
available here.
At our regular Town Board meeting on June 13, we will be connuing a discussion of a new water
district/extension policy. We are also pleased to be welcoming members of the Jacksonville Community
Associaon Board for a presentaon on making the Jacksonville Community Park more accessible, as
well as geng a mid-year update on roads in Ulysses from the Town Highway Superintendent Sco
Stewart. Meeng materials, including a link to aend remotely, are available here. Members of the
public are encouraged to aend in person at Town Hall or remotely.
Finally, the next Comprehensive Plan Steering Commiee meeng is next Wednesday, June 14th at 6pm.
The agenda, which includes the Zoom link, is available here. Members of the public are encouraged to
aend in person at Town Hall or remotely.
PLANNING BOARD PUBLIC HEARINGS:
The Planning Board will meet on Tuesday June 20th at Town Hall starng at 7:00 PM to hold a public
